Добавих няколко нови неща.

Първото, което ме дразнеше беше доста дългият лист с архиви по месеци. Моят блог не е от вчера и постепенно листа стана половин страница. След няколко проби и грешки се спрях на Collapsible Archive Widget. А той е widget и поради факта, че (шшшт, не казвайте никому), съм с доста стара версия на Wordpress, ми се наложи да добавя и Sidebar Widgets plugin-а. За няколко минути sidebar-а стана widget-based. И архивите се свиха. Даже ми харесва ефекта.

Но защо да спирам дотук?

Стъпка две – да разчистим ненужните разширения – пробвани и неодобрени поради някаква причина. Речено – сторено – сума php файлове бяха изтрити. Сега е доста по-прегледно.

Стъпка три. Да се опитам да задържа хората, влезли в блога и да им покажа други интересни неща. Защото bounce rate-а ми е доста висок, въпреки че имам 300-500 посещения на ден. Първоначално идеята ми беше да показвам под всяка публикация списък с произволни други от същата категория. Но не намерих подходящия plugin. И след малък размисъл, се реших и сложих Similar Posts. Целта е постигната, изглежда да работи ок.

И за да завърша, реших и да сложа така широко препоръчваният wp-cache. Отне няколко секунди и май наистина има ефект.
